Cooldown then (4?) working sets of hip extensions 1st with 25lb dumbbell, subsequent with 30lb. My back is getting STRONG!

Thoughts:

First round I did the box jumps but they felt terrible/scary/slow/weak. SUCKS as box jumps are def one of my strongest and most favored movements. I love making the stomp on top of the box and it’s a great power movement for me. Love love love ‘em. This was the first I’ve jumped since the finger surgery mess so it’s a first step back toward normalcy, I guess. Either way for the subsequent two rounds Michael had me just step up/downs. Ergh.

I’m thrilled that knees to elbows happened at all. I was mega uncomfortable for the first round with body weight hanging on the bar putting that much pressure on the pin/knuckle finger. For the subsequent rounds I just held on with the first two fingers of my right hand and that was WAY better.

Double unders – totally the highlight. These have improved a TON in the last few months. Not sure what happened – gues I just finally figured out the rope spinning part of the movement. Yay!

Med ball claeans. My first time cleaning the 25lb ball so, um, good. Freaking hard but good.

As always, mad thanks to Street for the fantastic programming and today thanks to Mark Santaniello for the cheering between his lifts!

Nice work out! I’ve been working on push ups with Steve for about 5 weeks now. He is up to 60 and I can do 40 now. I started with 18 as my max and he did 44. It’s fun to push yourself if you have someone to play with. :)
